Welcome back!
In our classroom:
We will be focusing on finishing up our published copies of our descriptive reports. Everyone will have a chance to share these with their classmates, as well as some friends from 4B. We will be working on inferring this week. We will use our schema and context clues in the text to read between the lines to understand what is happening. Our current read aloud is "Varjak Paw", as well as some picture books which lend themselves to this particular comprehension strategy.
Homework:
We are back in our regular homework routine. Students are expected to read 15 - 20 minutes/night and to complete their reading log. Word study are expected to be completed on a weekly basis.
Important Dates/Events:
Tuesday, March 28 - Parent Engagement Night (Cyber Safety and Bullying) - 7 pm
Thursday, March 30 - Spring photos - forms have been sent home
Friday, April 7 - PD day - No school for students
